The Big Spotify Compromise And Why That's Good For You.

The team over at Spotify have decided to shake things up a little. Users who sign up for a free account will get 10 hours of free music per month — half of the current amount. Also, users will only be able to play a track five times for free, after which users will he asked to buy the track to continue listening.

This news has received a mixed response, but personally, I think it’s great. The move will be exactly what record labels want to hear, and may be a sign that Spotify will be expanding outside Europe.

If more labels do get on board because of the new limits to the free service, it will only make the service as a whole better value, especially to those that pay the £10 per month subscription — a bargain, even now.
